What to do when life feels hard...
How to Take Back Control When Life Feels Overwhelming
There are times in life when everything just feels harder. Your energy is low, motivation disappears, and even small problems start to feel enormous. In this episode of Law of Attraction Changed My Life, I talk honestly about those seasons — the ones where life slows down, enthusiasm dips, and you find yourself quietly asking, what’s the fucking point?
I share that when we’re overwhelmed, we often obsess over the parts of the problem we can’t control. We wait for other people to change, for external validation, or for circumstances to magically resolve themselves. But one of the fastest ways to feel empowered again is to shift your focus onto what is within your control — your routines, your environment, your body, and your energy.
Simple things like getting outside in daylight, moving your body, eating properly, staying hydrated, taking medication or supplements, and getting enough sleep sound basic, but they’re foundational. When those things slip, everything else feels harder. I also talk about how keeping your home environment calm and organised can have a huge impact on your nervous system — because waking up to chaos is not the vibe.
The second mindset shift I explore is radical acceptance. So many of us suffer not because of what’s happened, but because we’re mentally fighting reality. We replay the story, asking why it had to be this way, why someone did this to us, or how things should have gone. Drawing on Eckhart Tolle and my own lived experience, I explain how acceptance doesn’t mean approval — it means releasing resistance so you can move forward without emotional baggage.
I use my divorce as a real-life example. Instead of framing it as a failure, I chose to see it as a freedom story. A survival story. A plot twist that led me back to myself. That shift in perception meant I didn’t spend years suffering mentally — because the meaning we assign to events directly affects how much pain we carry.
Finally, I ask you to reflect on the story you’re telling yourself about your own challenges. Whether it’s losing a job, ending a relationship, becoming a single parent, or navigating family or health issues — your perception shapes your experience. Do you want a story that weakens you, or one that gives you character development?
This episode is about compassion, control, acceptance, and choosing a narrative that supports your healing — without pretending everything is fine when it isn’t.
